A Bit About Me

Orlando Smith has worked for nearly 3 decades for various State of Texas agencies as an Equal Employment Opportunity/Employee Relations Specialist, Supervisor, and then Operations Manager.

Mr. Smith began his career, after obtaining a B.S. Degree in Business Management, working in retail as a Store Manager. Mr. Smith then began a career with the State of Texas; in his position as Operations Manager, he served as a subject-matter-expert to executive management in areas such as Investigative Activities, Hiring practices, Performance Management, ADA accommodations, etc.  

Additionally, Mr. Smith training in conducting mediations and providing position statements, on behalf of State Of Texas agencies, to Federal and State of Texas enforcement agencies. Mr. Smith also served as a Commissioner of the City of Austin Human Rights Commission.
